Handlebar stiff
Chains need seeing to, seat shifted, needs lifting
A gift to the gifted
Sucking dry from the teat of life
As nature gives, so does it take away
To remain here, beside you, day to day
Friends and lovers
This key from me to you and to another
To commune with each other
Brother to brother, sister to sister
Distance paired with laughter, a true show of recumbency
A definitive chant of freedom
Impossible is no longer the target
The target is calm
Untethered
So be it
She wanders from step to step
A pleasant smile, a brief glance
And she sets off, yet again.
